Design Draughtsman/ Junior Project Manager

Design Draughtsman/ Junior Project Manager wanted for a busy architectural metalwork firm near Peterborough.

Focussing on the architectural side of metalwork, our client specialises in Handrails/ Balustrades, Staircases and general metalwork in mild and stainless.
Working in the commercial sector, they have secured multiple projects throughout London with projects secured for the next two years.

Candidates must have experience within the architectural metalwork industry. We are looking for a draughtsman who wishes to take a step up into a project management role and offer full training to accomplish this.

Your job duties

* Working from customer/architectural drawings to produce detailed fabrication drawings when needed (Architectural metal work, secondary steelwork, staircases, balustrade and handrails)

* Producing drawings on CAD software for production and GA when needed.

* Collaborating with engineers, architects, projects managers and fabricators to ensure drawings are accurate, to spec and understood.

* Working to relevant UK industry standards

* Scheduling of works;

* Risk Identification and management;

* Overall quality control;

* Responsibility to delivery on time and budget

* Meet and manage project expectations

* Liaising with all relevant parties to contract (workshop, site management, client side).
