Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering high-profile social housing refurbishment and regeneration projects. With a strong pipeline of work and long-term frameworks in place, this role offers stability, progression, and the chance to make a tangible difference in communities.

You’ll play a pivotal role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all commercial and cost control aspects of social housing projects from pre-construction through to final account

*

Prepare and review subcontractor tender documentation and valuations

*

Monitor project budgets and prepare cost forecasts

*

Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and resolve commercial issues

*

Liaise with client representatives, site teams, and senior management

*

Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and contractual obligations

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the social housing, refurbishment, or maintenance sector

*

Experience working for a main contractor is essential (Tier 1 preferred)

*

Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts

*

Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

*

Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

*

Full UK driving licence
