Project Manager
The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major infrastructure delivery partner for an experienced Project Manager to join a high-profile highways scheme supporting the Sizewell C nuclear development in Suffolk.
This is a critical delivery role focused on the construction of two new roundabouts, forming part of the associated road improvements for the Sizewell C project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roads and highways construction, particularly managing complex junctions and roundabout schemes from early works through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end delivery of two roundabout projects associated with the Sizewell C infrastructure programme.
*
Manage all phases including planning, enabling works, construction, handover, and stakeholder engagement.
*
Oversee the work of site teams, subcontractors, engineers, and planners to ensure timely and quality delivery.
*
Liaise closely with National Highways, local authorities, and other third-party stakeholders to ensure compliance and coordination.
*
Monitor programme schedules, budgets, and risk registers; implement corrective actions where necessary.
*
Ensure all operations meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Required Experience & Skills:
*
Proven experience managing highways infrastructure projects – ideally including roundabout or junction construction.
*
Strong civil engineering knowledge with an understanding of highways specifications and statutory requirements.
*
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within regulated sectors (nuclear, rail, utilities).
*
Familiarity with NEC contract management and site-based reporting structures.
*
Capable of managing multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants.
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset.
Qualifications:
*
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
*
Chartered or working toward professional status (ICE, CIOB etc.) desirable.
*
CSCS (Manager) and SMSTS or equivalent HSE qualifications required.
*
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
*
Experience working on infrastructure works related to nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs).
*
Previous involvement on the Sizewell C programme or similar nuclear infrastructure developments.
