The Role

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Coordinator with a background in civil engineering or construction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone NEBOSH-qualified who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.

You'll play a key role in supporting the Health & Safety Manager and wider business in maintaining and improving our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and promoting a culture of safety and quality across all departments.

What you will be doing

Supporting the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards
Assisting with audits, inspections, and supplier assessments
Managing and updating HSE documentation, policies, and procedures
Preparing site folders, quality documentation, and training records
Coordinating PPE stock, issuing equipment, and maintaining compliance logs
Supporting tender submissions and accreditation portals
Collaborating with project managers, logistics, and site teams to ensure HSE compliance
Helping to develop process maps and written procedures
Monitoring project check sheets and toolbox talk folders

To be successful

✅ Experience: Previous experience in a similar H&S role within civil engineering or construction
✅ Qualifications: NEBOSH certification is essential
✅ Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
✅ Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills (MS Office, especially Excel & Teams)
✅ Mindset: Self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to work across departments with minimal supervision
