Becky at JT Recruit is looking for an experienced and qualified Asbestos Surveyor to join a dedicated property compliance team based in Matlock on a 6 month temporary basis. This is your chance to make a real impact by supporting statutory asbestos compliance across a wide range of public buildings.

In this role, you'll deliver high-quality asbestos surveys, manage risk data, and help ensure all properties remain compliant with CAR 2012 and relevant HSE guidance.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct Management and Refurbishment/Demolition (R&D) surveys in line with HSG264

* Liaise with contractors, consultants, and on-site duty holders

* Assist with auditing, quality-checking surveys, and updating asbestos registers

* Support the management of asbestos removal frameworks

* Respond to asbestos-related queries and provide compliance advice

✅ What You’ll Need:

* BOHS P402 (essential) | P405 (desirable)

* Experience in surveying a variety of building types and ages

* Solid understanding of Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012

* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

* Strong IT and reporting skills (Excel, Word, database systems)

⏳ Contract Details:

* Temporary contract – immediate start available

* Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

* Hybrid working – travel across Derbyshire will be required
