A well-respected building services contractor, known for delivering specialist mechanical and electrical packages across major London developments, is looking for an experienced Smoke Ventilation Engineer.
With a strong pipeline of projects across residential, commercial, and public-sector schemes, they now require a dedicated engineer to install and maintain mechanical smoke ventilation systems, car park extract systems, and fire safety dampers across sites throughout London (excluding West).
🔧 The Role:
*
Installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of:
*
Smoke control systems (natural & mechanical)
*
Car park extract ventilation systems
*
Fire and smoke dampers
*
AOV (automatic opening vents)
*
Working with project managers, electricians, and site teams to ensure systems are fully compliant and properly commissioned
*
Routine servicing, testing, and remedial works on active fire systems
✅ What You’ll Need:
*
3–6 years’ experience working with smoke ventilation or mechanical extract systems
*
Solid understanding of BS 9999 / BS 7346 and other relevant fire safety standards
*
Comfortable with both installation and reactive maintenance
*
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
*
Valid ECS card (essential)
*
Full UK driving licence
*
IPAF, PASMA, or SSSTS is a bonus but not essential
