Quantity Surveyor
Are you a Quantity Surveyor, with 4-5 years builders work experience and looking to take the next step in your career?
Our client is an established SME civil engineering contractor, specialising Soft Strip, Demolition, Structural Alterations, Cut & Carve and Groundworks.
As the ideal candidate, you will have experience and enjoy working on the full project life cycle from cradle to grave, be able to work independently, in a business with no politics and want to have freedom to make your own decisions.
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the pricing of projects and work packages, and delivering projects under D&B JCT & small works contracts.
Day to day contract administration of projects from £50k to £2.7m, acting as either a specialist subcontractor or Principle Contractor.
Attending live sites weekly to support site teams and capture any Variations.
Review contracts for prospective works, preparing monthly forecasts and CVR's, place and manage specialist sub-contract orders, submit applications to clients, managing any change, claims and Final Accounts.Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar qualification and relevant experience
At least 4 years' experience working for a specialist contractor delivering Builders Work &/or Soft Strip, Demolition, Structural Alterations, Cut & Carve and Groundworks.
At least 4 years post-grad commercial experience, with full project lifecycle experience.
Comfortable pricing works and assisting in the completion of tenders.
Able to work independently and confident in making your own decisions.Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
