Design Team Manager – Steelwork | Essex | Up to £100k + benefits | Permanent

We're working with a specialist architectural & structural steelwork contractor delivering high-profile projects across London & the South East. They're looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead and develop their in-house Tekla design team.

The role:

Lead & mentor the design/draughting team, overseeing output quality
Manage design activities on multiple projects, ensuring buildable & cost-effective solutions
Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors & clients to resolve design queries
Oversee drawing production in Tekla Structures & other CAD tools
Attend site surveys & meetings as neededAbout you:
Proven experience in a similar leadership role in architectural or structural steelwork
Proficient in Tekla Structures
Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
Confident interpreting complex drawings & leading teams
