Ridgeway & Co are working with a Luton-based main contractor, in their search for an experienced Project Manager (up to Contracts Manager) to join their close-knit team and lead the delivery of education-focused refurbishment and new build projects across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and North London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic contractor with a reputation for quality and repeat business, offering genuine career progression and direct reporting to the company Director.

Role Overview

*

Oversee full project lifecycle from pre-construction through delivery to handover

*

Lead day-to-day site operations and coordinate project teams and subcontractors

*

Maintain project programmes, budgets and quality standards

*

Report progress, risks and commercial matters directly to the Director

*

Act as key point of contact for clients, consultants, site teams and supply chain

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory standards

*

Chair site meetings and manage project documentation

Key Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering education sector projects (schools, academies, colleges or universities)

*

Track record managing refurbishment, extensions and/or new build schemes up to £5m+

*

Strong leadership and communication skills

*

Confident working directly with directors and clients

*

Commercially aware with a practical understanding of cost, programme and quality control

*

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects safely and to programme

*

SMSTS and First Aid (essential)

*

Full UK driving licence
