We are urgently recruiting for a Freelance Mechanical Project or Contracts Manager to support the final phase of a large-scale healthcare project in the Lincoln area.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and can drive a critical project over the finish line. You'll play a key role in commissioning, snagging, and handover.

✅ Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage mechanical commissioning activities

*

Ensure compliance with NHS and HTM standards

*

Coordinate with sub-contractors, consultants, and the wider delivery team

*

Identify and resolve issues during the final stages of delivery

*

Manage and close out all mechanical snags

*

Maintain clear communication with the client, design team, and supply chain

*

Ensure all documentation, O&Ms, and handover packs are completed to the highest standard

*

Attend and lead progress meetings

🔧 Requirements:

*

Proven experience managing mechanical packages on hospital/healthcare projects

*

Recognised mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services)

*

Strong understanding of commissioning and compliance processes

*

Comfortable in client-facing roles and leading close-out stages

*

Able to hit the ground running – immediate availability essential

*

Excellent organisation and communication skills
