Role
A well-established residential developer, also operating as a main contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Coordinator to take a step up to a Technical Manager for their team based in Brentwood, Essex. The business delivers high-quality housing schemes across Essex and the South East and continues to grow steadily with a strong project pipeline.
You’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating all technical information throughout the design and construction process. This includes working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure that technical documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the production and coordination of technical drawings and documents
* Liaise with consultants, local authorities, and regulatory bodies
* Ensure designs meet planning requirements, Building Regulations, and NHBC standards
* Support site teams by resolving technical queries and coordinating design changes
* Oversee document control and version management for technical information
* Collaborate with land, planning, commercial, and construction teams to support project delivery
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Technical Coordinator role within residential development or contracting
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and residential design standards
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
* Proficient with design and document management software
* Relevant qualification (HNC/HND or degree in Construction, Architecture, or related field) preferred
