Client-Side Technical Surveyor (Valuation)

Senior Surveyor – Client side (Lender) MRICS – Buy-To-Let focus

We’re working with a multi award-winning specialist Lender who are looking to appoint a Senior Valuation Surveyor (non-fee earning) within their technical team as follows:

* MRICS/FRICS qualified with VRS (AssocRICS cannot be considered)

* Hybrid working reporting into a West Midlands office 2/3 days per week

* 5-10 years PQE focused on complex investment lending/valuation, notably Buy to Let, HMO’s and Multi-Unit Blocks

* The role is non-operational (i.e. you will not undertake valuations / fee earn), rather you will focus on providing expert Buy to Let Advice to staff surveyors in accordance with lending criteria, the RICS Red Book and any other internal directives as appropriate

* In addition to providing technical guidance to in-house Surveyors, you will also support panel valuer relationships providing input and oversight through the Panel validation activity

* You should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the regulatory framework incorporating RICS requirements, property regulation, LPA Receivership and property management standards whilst also being up to date on property and regulatory matters affecting landlords, the property market, and technical developments with a focus towards the specialist and complex BTL markets

The successful Staff Surveyor / Valuation Surveyor will come from a stable career background, live within a range enabling travel to the midlands 3 days per week and have extensive Buy to Let experience, either as a Valuation Surveyor or as a Staff Surveyor working for a Lender.

Salary for the successful Staff Surveyor / Valuation Surveyor will start at up to £85k basic plus bonus, 10% employer pension contribution, life cover, 27 days holiday (plus public) and a range of health & wellbeing benefits ensuring an excellent work life balance.
