Position: Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 per annum + Car allowance + Package
Contract Type: temp – perm available (to get started quickly if needed)
Start date: Immediately available
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join a team and lead the successful planning and execution of new build commercial projects. This is a key role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to manage high-profile developments from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage construction projects across the commercial sector. Predominantly, steel frame and cut & calve projects from inception to completion.
Develop project programmes, manage site activities, and coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for clients and senior management.
Lead stakeholder engagement, including clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Manage project budgets, procurement, and contract administration.
Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and Health & Safety compliance processes.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale commercial projects.
Experience in steel structure, cut and calve projects.
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as MCIOB or equivalent are desirable.
Strong understanding of UK building regulations, and construction contracts.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.
