The Role

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning residential developer based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Known for delivering high-quality, design-led housing developments across the Southeast, this company offers a stable pipeline of work and a supportive team culture.

You’ll take responsibility for the commercial management of residential projects from procurement through to final account. This is a hands-on role ideal for a driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership and develop within a respected and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction to completion

* Prepare and monitor budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts

* Procure subcontract packages and negotiate terms

* Carry out valuations, manage variations, and agree final accounts

* Work closely with site teams, design consultants, and suppliers

* Prepare monthly cost reports and keep project costs under control

* Ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant contract law (JCT)

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Project or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

* Background in residential construction (developer or main contractor)

* Strong understanding of JCT contracts and procurement routes

* Commercially astute, with excellent attention to detail

* Strong communication and negotiation skills

* Relevant qualifications (e.g., BSc Quantity Surveying or similar)
