They have extensive experience across several sectors including education, commercial, healthcare, super-prime residential and cladding remediation projects.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London working on refurbishment schemes.
As the Quantity Surveyor you will manage the procurement process for subcontractors and proactively control all the contractual and commercial issues ensuring that applications and valuations are completed in line with the contract terms and make sure sub-contractors receive timely payment.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Procurement of subcontractors
* Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts
* Liaising and dealing with the buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities
* Cost control, monitoring and reporting
* Assisting the Project Manager with pre-start planning and programming
* Control all expenditure
* Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts
* Selection of Sub-contractors for works in accordance with company Sub-contract procurement requirements
* Assist the Project manager with subcontractor selection based on their suitable expertise and ability to deliver the works
* Place the correct order with all the essential information to deliver their work
* Coordinate with the Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager over any contractual issues
* Completing a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for the selected projects
* Evaluate progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention releases
