An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join one of the best-known names in their field. With over 60 years of expertise in dry lining, facades, glazing, and metal work, this leading specialist has built a reputation for delivering quality on some of the UK’s most iconic and ambitious developments. They work in close partnership with the country’s top developers and main contractors.
This role is suited to a driven individual with 2–4 years of experience in a commercial or surveying role within construction. You’ll be supporting senior surveyors while developing your own portfolio of responsibilities, with clear opportunities for progression and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
* Support procurement processes and manage subcontractor relationships
* Monitor and manage project costs, valuations, and variations
* Conduct regular site visits and liaise with project and site teams
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal procedures

Requirements:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial tools
* Full UK driving licence preferred
