With a proud heritage and a forward-thinking approach, they deliver high-quality infrastructure projects across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth within their Construction Division, they are looking for a skilled Estimator to join their team in Glasgow.

The Role:
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in securing new business by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects. Working closely with our pre-construction, engineering, and commercial teams, you will assess project requirements and contribute to successful tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

Assess material, labour, and equipment requirements

Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options

Contribute to bid strategy and support tender presentations

Ensure estimates are submitted in line with deadlines and client requirements

Maintain and update estimating databases and pricing libraries

Requirements:

Proven experience in an Estimator role within the construction or civil engineering sector, ideally on groundworks packages 

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite

Good communication and teamwork skills

HND/Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management is desirable
