Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance

Location: Hinkley Point C Site, Somerset

Job Type: Full-time, 38 hours/week

Working Pattern: 5 Days a week / 9 days fortnightly

Work type: Full-time (with travel to supplier sites and hybrid working as needed)

Join a once-in-a-generation infrastructure project that's powering the UK's Net Zero future. We're looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure that products and services delivered by the supply chain meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

What You'll Do as a Supplier Quality Engineer

Act as a key liaison between the project and its suppliers, managing quality performance across the supply chain
Support supplier qualification, audit, and improvement activities
Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and ensure adherence to project requirements
Review and monitor Contract Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and End of Manufacturing Reports (EoMRs)
Facilitate manufacturing kick-off meetings and source inspection activities
Investigate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure supplier process capability
Use a risk-based, data-driven approach to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement What You'll Bring as a Supplier Quality Engineer

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification with strong audit experience
Degree or minimum 3 years' experience in Quality or Supplier Quality within a regulated industry
Solid understanding of manufacturing and inspection processes (e.g. fabrication, coating, NDT)
Proficiency in quality tools such as root cause analysis, 8D, and continuous improvement methods
Ability to manage a diverse workload and collaborate across functions
Membership of CQI, IRCA, ASQ CQE, or equivalent is desirable
Experience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated environments is a plus Why This Role?
