Job Title: Site Engineer – Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2)
Location: Peterhead, Scotland

About the Company:
We're pleased to be working with one of Europe’s leading civil engineering organisations, who are playing a key role in delivering the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project – a vital component of the UK’s transition to net zero.

We’re now looking for a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join the team on-site in Peterhead, where you’ll contribute to one of the largest and most technically challenging energy infrastructure projects in the country.

About the Project – EGL2:
Eastern Green Link 2 is a major subsea HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) transmission project linking Peterhead, Scotland to Drax, England. Once complete, it will significantly increase the capacity of the UK’s electricity transmission system and enable more renewable energy to reach homes and businesses across the country.

The Role:
As a Site Engineer, you’ll be a key part of the delivery team, ensuring that all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying of works in accordance with project drawings and specifications

Ensuring quality control and compiling site records and as-built data

Supporting the site management team with daily operations and progress reporting

Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain programme timelines

Monitoring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Contributing to problem-solving and innovation on-site

What We’re Looking For:

HNC, HND or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

Previous site engineering experience in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects preferred

Strong understanding of setting out, surveying equipment, and construction drawings

Good communication and teamwork skills

A proactive approach to safety and quality

CSCS card and full UK driving licence
