Cad Designer

Our client, a specialist in bespoke joinery known for delivering high-quality craftsmanship, is looking for an experienced CAD Designer to join their central London team.

Key Responsibilities:
– Creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for bespoke joinery components
– Interpreting architectural and interior design plans to generate joinery shop drawings that align with project requirements.
– Collaborating with the design team, project managers, and workshop staff to ensure drawings meet practical and technical standards.
– Modifying and revising drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
– Maintaining drawing registers and ensuring timely submission and updates in accordance with project timelines.
– Conducting site surveys as necessary to capture accurate dimensions and information.
– Ensuring all drawings adhere to relevant building codes, safety standards, and company specifications.
– Leading the team to ensure work is executed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:
– Demonstrated experience as a Draughtsman in the construction or joinery industry.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential), SketchUp, and other design software like Revit or SolidWorks (a bonus).
– Sound knowledge of materials, joinery techniques, and construction processes.
– Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings effectively.
– Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach.
– Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
– Preferably, a relevant qualification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
