Commercial Building Surveyor

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 depending on experience

Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their commercial team, working remotely and covering Birmingham with occasional travel further afield. The role offers a diverse workload and is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in a flexible, friendly, and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out a wide range of commercial building surveys across various property sectors.
Prepare and deliver detailed, technically robust reports including:
Dilapidations
Schedules of Condition
Acquisition Surveys
Technical Due Diligence
Planned Preventative Maintenance Reports
Administer contracts and advise clients on building repairs and refurbishments.
Provide clear, concise, and justified conclusions and recommendations.
Work independently and collaboratively with the wider team including structural engineers, residential surveyors, and general practice colleagues.
Engage with clients through professional communication, reporting, and advice.
Maintain high professional and regulatory standards in accordance with RICS/CIOB guidelines.Candidate Requirements
AssocRICS / MRICS / MCIOB Building Surveyor
Experience in a broad range of commercial surveying disciplines
Confident in preparing detailed, client-focused survey reports
Dilapidation experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Based in the West Midlands
UK driving licence
