Business Development Manager – Fire & Security Solutions
Location: Flexible
Salary: up to £55k plus Commision, bonus and benefits
We are working with a leading National Fire & Security Contractor to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager with a proven track record of to drive their expansion through 2025 and beyond. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through identifying new & returning business opportunities, building strong relationships with new and potential clients as well as maintaining existing relationships. You'll be working closely with the Sales Director and the wider management team.
You will be home based with travel to regional office in West Yorkshire and have your own patch / clients to develop.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Group Sales Director and take ownership of your own sales pipeline.
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across various sectors.
Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to uncover customer needs and emerging opportunities.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, past client relationships, and digital marketing efforts.
Present tailored solutions to potential clients through engaging meetings and presentations.
Collect client and market feedback to support continuous product and service improvements.
Collaborate with the wider sales team to develop and deliver innovative fire and security solutions aligned with our strategic goals.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Assess and mitigate risks related to new ventures and partnerships.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular business development reports.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and exceptional service delivery.
Conduct on-site surveys and design fire and security systems using our SaaS-based business management system.
Prepare professional proposals using company templates and deliver them within client timeframes.
Actively manage your pipeline by following up on quotes, negotiating effectively, and securing new contracts.Business Development Manager Experience:
Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the fire and security industry.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Self-starter with a proactive, target-driven approach.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with CRM systems and SaaS-based platforms is a plus. Business Development Manager Salary & Benefits:

Flexibility with 2-3 days surveying sites and meeting customers, 2-3 days working from home or office
£45000 – £55000 (dependent on experience)
Commission and Bonus OTE
