About the Role

Key Responsibilities
In this diverse and rewarding position, you'll:

Carry out noise and vibration assessments for projects ranging from residential developments to transportation infrastructure and industrial facilities.
Investigate noise nuisance complaints and act as an expert witness in Planning Inquiries and Court Hearings.
Utilize advanced tools such as state-of-the-art noise measurement equipment and industry-leading CadnaA modeling software.
Prepare high-quality technical reports that deliver actionable, client-focused recommendations.
Work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
Contribute to research and innovation, developing new noise reduction and mitigation techniques.

What We Are Looking For

Our ideal candidate will:

Hold a relevant first degree or post-graduate qualification in Acoustics, Noise & Vibration, or a related discipline.
Be a Corporate Member of the Institute of Acoustics (IoA).
Have a minimum of three years' experience in acoustic consultancy and a strong technical understanding of the field.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing technical reports.
Hold a full UK driving license and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Conducting noise testing at a potential housing development one day, and modeling the noise impact of a large infrastructure project the next.
Preparing evidence for high-profile Planning Inquiries or court hearings.
Engaging in cutting-edge research on topics like noise reduction strategies for multi-use games areas (MUGAs).
Working on high-impact national frameworks, such as projects for the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (Defra).
