Health & Safety Manager – Office Based (with Travel Across the South West)

A respected and well-established housebuilder is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to lead its health, safety, and environmental strategy across multiple live sites and office locations.
This is a strategic and high-impact role, ideal for a proactive and experienced professional who is passionate about driving a strong safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, and protecting the wellbeing of all employees, subcontractors, and site visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all health and safety functions across construction sites, office and yard environments
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Provide expert advice to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
* Deliver internal training and toolbox talks
* Ensure continuous improvement and up-to-date compliance with legislation
* Represent the business with external regulators and accreditation bodies
About You:
* NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety
* CertIOSH as a minimum and working towards CMIOSH
* At least 5 years’ experience in health & safety within construction or housebuilding
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Strong knowledge of legislation, risk management, and incident investigation
* A collaborative, coaching approach to safety and compliance
