Freelance Site Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide short-term cover (1 month) on a major industrial refurbishment project located in Belvedere, London. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day site operations, with a particular focus on the fit-out phase, including managing subcontractors, coordinating with the project team, and ensuring health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all on-site activities during the fit-out phase

Liaise with project managers, architects, and subcontractors

*

Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

*

Monitor progress and maintain site documentation and reports

*

Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks

*

Enforce health & safety standards and carry out site inspections

*

Resolve on-site issues and escalate where necessary

*

Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with project drawings and specs

Requirements:

*

Proven experience managing fit-out phases of industrial or commercial refurbishments

*

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

*

CSCS Card (Black or White preferred)

*

First Aid at Work

*

Strong leadership and communication skills

*

Ability to work independently and keep a fast-paced project on track

*

Experience dealing with M&E trades and sequencing

*

Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction best practices

Preferred:

Previous experience on industrial/warehouse refurbishments

*

Live within reasonable commuting distance to Belvedere, London
