Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer | Sheffield | South Yorkshire

A business based in Sheffield are looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer to work from their Sheffield office with regular site visits in the local area. This is an exciting opportunity for a previously out-sourced skill-set. To help improve in-house capability

Day to Day

* Structural design calculations, specifications and construction drawings for steel and concrete

* Provide technical support to construction teams, acting as a bridge between the design office and project delivery.

* Develop installation methodology in conjunction with the construction team

* Preparing scope, schedule, and other technical documents for contracted works, and temporary works design.

* Coordinate technical queries between site team and design office.

* Carry out inspections and quality checks.

Experience

* Qualified to CEng / chartered status

* Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

* Proficient in technical design packages such as Tekla, CADS and Tedds.

* Ability to produce designs underpinned by strong engineering principles.
