We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Apprentice/Trainee Project Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of construction projects while working towards a recognised qualification in construction or project management.
Role overview
As a Trainee Project Manager, you will assist experienced professionals in delivering construction projects from inception through to completion. You’ll learn how to manage timelines, budgets, risks and relationships, while developing a strong understanding of the construction process.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of project documentation and reports
- Assist with project planning, programming, and monitoring
- Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Help manage project costs, risks, and quality control
- Maintain accurate records and assist with contract administration
- Contribute to ensuring health, safety and compliance on site
About you
This role is ideal for recent school or college leavers, or anyone looking to start a career in construction consultancy.
Essential:
- Strong interest in construction and the built environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (including English and Maths)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable:
- A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification
- Interest in or enrolment on a relevant apprenticeship or degree (e.g. Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying)
- Previous work experience or exposure to construction (preferred but not essential)
