QA/QC Manager – Tier 2 Main Contractor

A leading Tier 2 Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes across London is looking to appoint a QA/QC Manager to strengthen its quality assurance processes in line with new regulatory demands.

This is a brand-new role within the business, created in direct response to evolving compliance requirements under the Building Safety Act and Gateway regime. It's a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of quality across multiple projects and shape how the company manages and records information in line with the Golden Thread.

The Role:

As QA/QC Manager, you’ll take responsibility for auditing site activity, reviewing project documentation, and ensuring teams are adhering to company procedures and compliance standards. Working closely with the construction teams, document controllers, and the BIM team, you’ll help drive a more rigorous, process-led approach to managing quality and change through the construction process.

You’ll be reporting directly to the Construction Directors, with the opportunity to build a QA/QC team around you as the role evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit quality procedures across live construction projects.

Ensure M&E and other subcontractors have completed all required pre-checks and fire checks.

*

Monitor and verify the collection of correct data, images, and documentation.

*

Identify compliance gaps and proactively notify project teams.

*

Ensure all relevant stakeholders are updated on QA-related issues.

*

Work with the BIM team to align digital records with compliance needs.

*

Support change control processes and ensure data traceability across the build.

Ideal Candidate:

*

Strong understanding of construction QA/QC processes.

*

Familiarity with compliance frameworks including the Building Safety Act and the Golden Thread.

*

Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret data and spot inconsistencies.

*

Confident communicator with the character to challenge project and supply chain teams when necessary.

*

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.

*

Prior experience in a QA, QC, Compliance, Document Control, or Site Management role preferred.
