Contracts Manager
Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking for your next challenge with a respected regional contractor? We’re currently working with Vale Southern to find a talented Contracts Manager to join their team in Portsmouth.
About the Role
As Contracts Manager, you’ll take ownership of multiple projects across residential and commercial sectors, from initial pre-construction planning through to final delivery and handover. You’ll oversee project teams, manage budgets, maintain programme schedules, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are achieved on every site.
Projects range from high-quality residential developments to commercial builds and fit-outs, offering you variety and the chance to make a real impact.
Responsibilities

Manage multiple live projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget
*
Lead and support site teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
*
Oversee programme planning, procurement, and resource management
*
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants
*
Ensure projects comply with all relevant health, safety, and quality standards
*
Regularly report on progress to senior management
About You
*
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in residential and commercial construction
*
Strong leadership and communication skills
*
Track record of delivering multiple projects successfully
*
Excellent understanding of construction processes, contract management, and commercial awareness
*
SMSTS and CSCS card (black card) desirable
*
Full UK driving licence
What’s on Offer

Salary £55,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)
