The Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Assistant to support their busy pre-construction and estimating team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career or looking to develop within a growing and dynamic company. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating pre-construction activities, supporting tender submissions, and ensuring smooth project handovers to delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders and bid documents

Support the estimating team with take-offs, document control, and subcontractor pricing

*

Help manage pre-construction schedules and ensure key deadlines are met

*

Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments to gather relevant information

*

Maintain an organised system for drawings, specifications, and other project documentation

*

Attend internal meetings to take notes and follow up on action items

*

Contribute to the preparation of project handover packs for delivery teams

Key Requirements

*

Some experience or understanding of construction or pre-construction processes (preferred but not essential)

*

Strong organisational and administrative skills

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

*

A keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*

Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional construction environment

*

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
