The Role

A unique and engaging role awaits a technically-minded professional to join our Client – a leading manufacturer and supplier in the Plumbing & Heating industry. This position is based in Sutton Coldfield and involves supporting sales and purchasing functions, product specifications and quality. The role spans a national customer base across the UK and Ireland, with a supply base extending to the UK, Europe, and the Far East.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background in the plumbing and heating sector or a keen desire to learn. If you are enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding position, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical support and advice to customers.

* Maintain and create product information documents and databases.

* Support the QA & Systems Manager in maintaining third-party approvals.

* Assist the Customer Service team with technical information and phone cover.

* Attend industry events and exhibitions in a technical support capacity.

* Manage a dedicated technical support line for branded products.

* Visit customer sites as necessary.

* Collaborate with the Technical Sales Manager to develop customer requirements on product specifications.

Ideal Skills and Experience

* Professional telephone manner and effective face-to-face communication skills.

* Adaptable, willing to learn, and develop technical knowledge.

* Team player with the ability to use initiative.

* Experience in the plumbing and heating sector is preferable.

* Knowledge of quality systems and product approvals is desired.

* Strong IT literacy, including Word and Excel; Sage experience is an advantage.

* Enthusiasm for new technology and excellent organisational skills.

Ideal Qualifications

– Plumbing Diploma (training provided if required).

– Driving licence (preferable).

– IT literate
