Are you a skilled Automatic Door Engineer looking for more variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across multiple technologies and manufacturers?
A well-established specialist engineering firm is seeking a Service Engineer to join their high-performing team. This is a field-based role covering the Greater London area, focused on the installation, service, and maintenance of automatic and industrial door systems.
You’ll be the face of the business for clients on-site – delivering expert solutions with professionalism, technical skill, and a customer-first attitude.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Installing, servicing, and maintaining automatic and industrial doors to industry standards.
* Diagnosing faults and recommending solutions clearly and confidently.
* Working across a wide range of manufacturers, both electronic and mechanical.
* Accurately documenting all work using mobile job management systems (e.g., iPad).
* Delivering exceptional service and maintaining professional conduct on every site.
* Taking part in a shared on-call rota and occasional overtime.
What We’re Looking For:
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* EN16005 or BS7036 qualification.
* Valid CSCS card.
* IT literate – comfortable with Excel, Outlook, and client-facing portals.
* Confident using a tablet to manage work orders and reports.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
* Self-driven, adaptable, and committed to high standards.
* Excellent communication skills – able to liaise confidently with both customers and team members
