Associate Director – Risk Lead
Project Controls Consultancy | Major Infrastructure Projects | London-Based
£75,000 – £100,000 depending on experience (negotiable)
We’re recruiting for an Associate Director-level Risk Lead to support the delivery of major infrastructure programmes. This London-based role sits within an integrated project controls function and is focused on leading risk management strategy and delivery for complex projects operating under NEC contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead risk management services across major infrastructure projects, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and monitoring
• Deliver cost and schedule quantitative risk assessments (QRA) using tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Safran Risk
• Develop and maintain risk management plans and reporting in alignment with NEC contract requirements and client governance processes
• Facilitate risk workshops and reviews with project teams, supply chain partners, and client stakeholders
• Provide expert advice on risk strategy, process integration, and the interface between risk, cost, schedule, and change control
• Manage and mentor risk professionals and contribute to the development of risk capability across the team
• Support programme-level reporting and assurance activities, contributing to clear risk communication and informed decision-making
• Input into proposals, bids, and refinement of internal risk methodologies and tools
Requirements:
• Substantial experience in a senior risk role on infrastructure programmes, ideally within the transport, water, or utilities sectors
• Strong knowledge of NEC contract forms and their application in a risk and project controls context
• Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, with a track record of delivering QRAs and risk reporting at project and programme level
• Skilled in the use of risk tools such as @Risk, PRA, and Safran, and understanding of wider project controls systems
• Experience leading client engagement and delivering risk services in a consultancy or client-side environment
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications (e.g. APM Risk Certificate, PMI-RMP, MoR) preferred
