Location: Yorkshire + UK-wide travel (2–3 days/week)
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE + £5,500 Car Allowance + Expenses (e.g. hotels paid)
JS Recruitment are partnering with a thriving and forward-thinking construction company working with major commercial clients across the UK. As they continue to expand, they’re looking to appoint a self-motivated, proactive HSE Advisor who thrives on autonomy and flexibility.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a confident HSE professional to shape their own role and make a real impact across a wide variety of construction projects.
What You’ll Do:
As HSE Advisor, you'll take ownership of your diary and work independently to drive health, safety, and environmental standards across a broad portfolio of projects.
The role will be varied, supporting projects across several operational divisions, including structural works, internal finishes, and specialist construction services. You’ll engage with a mix of high-profile commercial clients across the UK and work closely with on-site teams to maintain and improve compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting regular site audits and inspections

Producing clear, actionable reports and supporting continuous improvement
*
Promoting a strong safety culture across all levels of the business
*
Supporting site teams with inductions, RAMS, and risk assessments
*
Collaborating with the compliance team to manage documentation and procedures
*
Liaising with clients, site managers, and external bodies as needed
*
Working flexibly—travelling 2–3 days per week, with time given back accordingly
About You:

A confident self-starter who’s comfortable working independently
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (expenses and hotels covered)
*
Construction background preferred, with relevant on-site experience
*
NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification required
*
Excellent communication and time management skills
*
A strong sense of initiative, with the ability to prioritise and adapt
*
Keen to continue developing professionally—environmental qualifications will be supported
