Site Engineer
Location: Central Belt (travel to sites required)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + car/allowance + benefits
Start: Immediate

We’re recruiting for a hands-on Site Engineer to provide essential on-site engineering support for civil engineering projects including drainage, kerbing, foundations, and multi-utility installations. You’ll work closely with the construction team to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions and ensure projects run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake site setting-out and topographical surveys

*

Identify and coordinate existing services (gas, electric, water, telecom, street lighting)

*

Check and challenge technical drawings to ensure buildable, cost-effective solutions

*

Organise materials and programme works in liaison with procurement

*

Attend pre-start meetings and site progress meetings

*

Liaise with local authority and utility inspectors

*

Assist site managers with PU infrastructure installation

*

Carry out temporary works co-ordination (training provided)

*

Maintain site instruments and ensure compliance with health and safety standards

What You Need to Succeed:

*

Proven site engineering experience in civil construction

*

Strong communication and organisation skills

*

Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines

*

Competent problem-solver who delivers sustainable solutions

*

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

*

Relevant CSCS card; SMSTS training can be provided if needed

*

Full UK driving licence
