Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Carpenter Fire Door Installer, your responsibilities will include:

* Installation of fire door sets

* All aspects of fire door maintenance

* Working on your own as well as part of a team, working closely with others to solve problems as and when they arise

* Liaising with colleagues and managers on a daily basis

* Carrying out fire door assessments and record findings

* Ability to interpret and adhere to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring that compliance is always at the forefront of all work

Person Specification:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

* Previous experience working as a carpenter

* Experience of working in the social housing/health/high street sector

* Be able to communicate effectively and courteously with work colleagues

* An understanding of the importance of compliant installation within the fire safety sector

* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in joinery or other relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience

* A good awareness and understanding of Health & Safety on site

* Ability to diagnose/problem solve

* Previous trade experience

* Reliable

* CSCS Card (Desirable)

* Full toolkit to carry out the works required
