Technical Coordinator
Overview of Business
We are currently partnered with a 5* PLC housebuilder who are looking for an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their Building Safety Unit. The Building Safety Unit are a National Division set up in response to the Building Safety Act, the projects will all be high-rise developments in and around City centres. Our client have projects spanning across England, Scotland and Wales and has multiple brand names they build under giving the opportunity to work on a variety of different type of projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Technical Coordinator will assist the Project Manager in managing the Technical function of a project on all technical, engineering and architectural aspects of the business.
* From commencement on site to completion and final handovers. They will ensure that information is produced, checked and distributed on programme to the correct quality and within budget to enable effective contract procurement and programme to be met
* In partnership with the Portfolio, construction, PMO and commercial teams, you will be responsible for multiple remediation projects across the UK.
* Manage the external design team and specialist consultants to ensure that all construction documents are provided within the agreed development programme and budget.
* Attend all project and team meetings as required, and present the Technical position to the meeting
* Complete any other duties as required by the Project Manager
* Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with Group IT systems
Essential experience
* Good operating knowledge of the development / technical design process
* Proven knowledge of detailed design for residential schemes utilising different forms of construction – including reinforced concrete frame, steel frame and timber frame.
* Understanding of FRAS & FRA
