We're Hiring: Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager – Passive Fire Protection
Location: Manchester
Salary: c£65,000 per annum + benefits

The Opportunity:
My client, a specialist in passive fire protection, is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to oversee the successful delivery of their growing portfolio of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, working across a range of high-quality, compliance-led fire protection works.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all commercial elements of assigned projects, from procurement and valuations to change control and final accounts

Maintain accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting throughout project lifecycles

*

Engage with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes

*

Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and practices

*

Ensure adherence to all regulatory, contractual, and health & safety requirements

What You’ll Bring:
✔ Demonstrable experience in passive fire protection – particularly firestopping and fire doors
✔ Background in quantity surveying or commercial management, ideally within the construction or fire safety sectors
✔ Strong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
✔ Excellent financial awareness, attention to detail, and commercial insight
✔ Confident communicator with sound negotiation skills
✔ A proactive, problem-solving approach
