An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor on a new-build development in Harrow. This is a site-based position and will suit someone looking to take full commercial responsibility for a major project from pre-construction through to final account.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving commercial performance on site and ensuring best practice across procurement, reporting, and subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Full commercial management of the project from pre-contract through to handover

* Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Subcontractor procurement and management

* Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget management

* Management of commercial risk and opportunity

* Input into project programmes and delivery strategies

* Liaising with site and project teams to ensure commercial alignment

* Attendance at commercial meetings and progress reviews

Requirements:

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

* A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the construction industry

* Strong background working for main contractors on major schemes

* Solid understanding of JCT D&B contracts

* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage commercial teams

* Confident communicator with strong reporting and negotiation skills

* Must be based within commuting distance of Harrow

* Right to work in the UK required
