Senior Quantity Surveyor
An ambitious and digitally forward-thinking construction contractor in West Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and new-build projects across a range of sectors, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS to take ownership of multiple exciting schemes at varying stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commercial management of multiple projects across Industrial, Commercial, Retail, Education, Sesidential and Assisted living sectors.
Prepare and manage accurate cost plans, budgets, and valuations throughout the project
Procure and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring value for money and programme alignment
Lead monthly reporting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking in collaboration with project teams
Negotiate and agree variations, final accounts, and contractual matters
Contribute to commercial strategy, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a Senior QS role or a strong Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
Background working across a variety of sectors – industrial, education, commercial, or refurbishment highly beneficial
Solid knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work autonomously on complex schemes
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to streamline commercial processes
