A leading Tier One contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly regarded business delivering major commercial projects across London and the South East.

With offices based in both London and Essex, the company offers hybrid working, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical works on projects typically valued between £1m and £50m. They will play a crucial role in the tendering process, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates

Analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documents

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and pricing

Participate in value engineering and risk reviews

Support the handover process from pre-construction to delivery teams

Candidate Requirements

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical estimating within the commercial sector

Experience working with Tier One contractors or established M&E contractors

Strong technical understanding of electrical systems in commercial environments

Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, ConQuest, or similar)

Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
