Freelance Project Manager

The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a Freelance Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a major £20 million industrial new build scheme. This is a full lifecycle role, taking the project from pre-construction through to completion. The role requires a confident, experienced PM who can take ownership, manage site operations, and drive the programme on a technically complex build.

Project Overview:

New build industrial facility – approx. £20M

*

Significant steel frame, cladding, civils, and M&E coordination

*

Fast-track programme with key delivery milestones

Key Responsibilities:

*

Manage day-to-day project operations and site team performance

*

Oversee programme, budget, and quality control

*

Liaise with client teams, consultants, and subcontractors

*

Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures

*

Chair site meetings and report progress against key deliverables

*

Identify risks, resolve issues, and drive successful project outcomes

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as Project Manager on large-scale industrial or commercial builds

*

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, buildability, and site logistics

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Platinum), and First Aid

*

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

*

Able to work independently and manage a team to tight deadlines
