Our client, a respected and growing consultancy based in Leeds, is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to take a lead role in delivering projects across a broad range of sectors. Operating nationally with both public and private sector clients, they bring valuable expertise in cost management, project delivery, and client advisory services.
The Role
As a Senior Cost Manager, you will lead the commercial management of multiple projects from early feasibility through to contract close-out. This is a client-facing, full-time position based in Leeds, offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes while mentoring junior team members and contributing to business growth.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans

Managing procurement, tender analysis, and contract negotiation
*
Administering building contracts and change control processes
*
Reviewing and approving interim applications and final accounts
*
Producing high-quality cost reports and presenting financial updates to clients
*
Chairing meetings and leading communications with client and contractor teams
*
Supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to internal best practice
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
*
Significant experience in a consultancy or client-side cost management environment
*
A strong track record of contract administration and commercial leadership
*
Excellent communication and client engagement skills
*
The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
*
Professional membership (e.g. MRICS) or equivalent experience
