Job Title: Working Foreman
Location: Nationwide (initial base: IP31 3HJ) – Travel & Staying Away Required
Pay: £19.00 – £22 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, Site Hours 07:00 – 17:00 (Contracted 39 hours/week)
About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Working Foremen to join a growing team delivering high-quality landscaping and water-based civil engineering projects across the UK. This role involves overseeing day-to-day site operations while remaining hands-on with tasks. Travel and staying away from home during the week is required, with accommodation and travel arranged.
This is an excellent opportunity for site leaders looking for stable, long-term work on environmentally focused and technically challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day running of active sites, ensuring work is completed to schedule and standard
* Carry out RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
* Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks
* Communicate with project managers and site teams effectively
* Order and manage materials
* Maintain accurate timekeeping and workforce records
* Uphold safety, quality, and productivity across all areas of the site
* Be hands-on and assist with tasks where required
Requirements:
* SSSTS or SMSTS (essential)
* Proven experience as a Working Foreman or Site Supervisor on civils, landscaping, or groundwork projects
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Comfortable staying away during the week when needed
* Professional approach with a focus on safety, standards, and teamwork
