Mechanical Site Manager Opportunity – Central London Projects – Growing Contractor
MK Search are working with a growing yet well established M&E contractor who have a strong reputation in the decarbonisation, heritage, commercial and large scale leisure construction sectors. They are looking to engage with an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their London team in a contract/freelance posision.
This is an opportunity to get a foot in the door with one of the UK's fastest growing M&E businesses who are also financially backed by a main contractor and have a lot of exciting projects upcoming.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and supervise day-to-day mechanical installation activities on-site.
* Manage direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards.
* Liaise with clients and main contractors, project managers, and other site trades.
* Monitor and enforce health & safety compliance, including RAMS, toolbox talks, PPE checks, and site inductions.
* Track progress against programme, identify risks or delays, and report to project
* management.
* Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, time sheets, and material / plant requisitions.
* Participate in site meetings and inspections, including snagging and handover preparations
* Read and interpret drawings to ensure installations capture design construction
* issue drawings and specifications.
* Management of orders for pipework fittings and hire of plant.
* Assist with mechanical testing, commissioning support, and fault resolution.
* Ensure works meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* In some circumstances there will be a requirement to undertake installation of pipework and general plumbing installations to meet with a project arrangement.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing or Pipefitting
* CSCS card – Skilled Worker (Gold) or Supervisor (Black)
* SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred or willing to obtain)
* First Aid at Work (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
