Graduate Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity for a graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a civil engineering contractor on a wide range of projects based in Glasgow

Quantity surveying disciplines both pre and post contract on a variety of commercial projects. You will be part of a very supportive environment with a great opportunity to work towards further education and career development

Key accountabilities

Understanding of contract administration and detailed knowledge of the various forms of contract (JCT NEC).

Knowledge of procurement.

Understanding of how to compile tender / contract documents including Schedules of Works and Bills of Quantities.

Measurement experience (by hand and CAD Measure) and ability to understand the construction process and apply this to measurement.

Knowledge of Reinstatement Cost Assessments.

Good knowledge of material costings and where to obtain this information.

Performance criteria

BSc in Quantity Surveying and Construction Cost Management

Willing to create and build successful relationships
