Job Summary:
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Architectural Technologist or technical or project Architect to join their design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong and proven understanding of architectural design, building technology, and construction methods, and will play a key role in producing technical drawings, NBS Chorus specifications, and documentation for a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and 3D models using BIM software (e.g., Revit)
* Ensure that designs comply with building regulations, codes, and health and safety standards.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants/clients to deliver projects from concept to completion.
* Assist in site works answering construction queries and reporting throughout the construction phase.
* Coordinate in BIM environment with consultants and suppliers to ensure integration of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into the design, including use of clash detection software
* Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.
* Resolve technical and design challenges with creative, practical solutions.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and construction technologies.
Requirements:
* Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
* Proven experience in architectural technology or similar role.
* Proficiency in Revit software, with AutoCAD and other Cad software knowledge as benefit and Microsoft Office Suite generally
* Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and statutes
* Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
* Strong communication and organizational abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Membership in CIAT (or working toward membership) is a benefit but not mandated
