Senior Site Agent

My Client a reputable Tier 2 Principal Contractor with a strong history of delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. Operating across highways, utilities, environmental, and general civils sectors, focus on safety, quality, and performance excellence.

They are seeking an experienced and capable Senior Site Agent to lead project delivery on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution across a range of schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects on-site

*

Lead site teams including engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers

*

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

*

Develop and manage construction programmes in line with client and company expectations

*

Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures

*

Liaise with clients, designers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

*

Monitor and report on project progress, including costs, risks, and change control

*

Manage procurement and coordination of plant, labour, and materials

*

Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability

Requirements

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years at at Agent level

*

Strong background in Infrastructure & Utilities or general civils projects

*

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

*

Technical Engineering background progressed from Site Engineering

*

Proven leadership and project management skills

*

Excellent understanding of CDM regulations, health & safety, and quality systems

*

Commercial awareness and the ability to manage costs, contracts, and subcontractors

*

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

*

Valid CSCS card; SMSTS and First Aid qualifications preferred

*

Full UK driving licence
