Location: West Sussex
Salary: £34-40,000 (dependent on experience)
An award-winning and well-established architectural practice is looking for a skilled Architectural Technologist to join its collaborative West Sussex studio on a full-time basis. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative, technically driven solutions across residential, retrofit, cladding remediation, and healthcare sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a respected and experienced team.
The successful candidate will take a key role in the technical delivery of projects – from early design development through to completion. You'll be responsible for producing detailed design packages, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with UK regulations and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications across all RIBA stages
Coordinate design information with internal teams and external consultants
Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations and industry best practice
Work in a BIM environment using Revit to support project delivery
Prepare and review construction documentation, submittals, and technical reports
Participate in site inspections and contract administration tasks
Support a diverse portfolio, particularly in residential, healthcare, and retrofit sectors
Key Requirements
Degree or an HNC/HND in Architectural Technology o
UK-based experience in a similar role
Strong detailing and technical problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Revit and good understanding of BIM workflows
Solid knowledge of UK planning policy, building regs and construction methods
Clear communicator with strong organisational skills
Experience in cladding remediation and/or healthcare projects is a strong advantage
