Starting salary between £28,000.00 – £30,000.00 with consideration of more depending on initial skill set

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the internal project delivery team, and client teams to ensure a smooth project delivery
Preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates and tender returns for façade packages
Managing subcontractor and supplier procurement, including issuing enquiries and evaluating quotations
Monitor project costs and variations, ensuring alignment with budgets and contractual obligations
Preparation of interim valuations, final accounts, and project cost reports
Conduct site visits to assess progress, measure works, and support the valuation process
Liaise with site teams, design managers, and principal contractors to ensure commercial and contractual compliance
Help manage change control processes, including identifying, pricing, and negotiating variations
Maintain accurate records of measurements, correspondence, and contractual documentation
Preparation and review of subcontractor payment applications and final accounts
Contribute to risk management and value engineering exercises throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

Education
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Candidates currently pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., RICS or CIOB) are encouraged to apply
Experience o Minimum of 1 year proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction or facades sector
Exposure to subcontractor environments or working alongside principal contractors is advantageous
Experience with site-based roles or internships in construction is a plus
Safety Adherence:
Comply with all health and safety regulations on-site and in the office
Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company and legal safety standards
Participate in toolbox talks and site inductions as required
Technical Literacy
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Excellent mathematical and logical skills
Understanding of Contracts and Clauses, familiarity with JCT or NEC contracts
Analytical Skills
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in drawings, measurements, and costings
Capable of performing accurate take-offs and cost analysis
Ability to support value engineering and risk assessment processes
Teamwork and Communication
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, site staff, and external stakeholders including principal contractors
Willingness to learn from senior surveyors and contribute to a positive team environment
Nice to Have (Preferrable but not required)
Full UK driving licence
Familiarity with façade systems and materials (e.g., cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen systems)
Previous experience working with subcontractor packages or procurement
